Where is THP currently in this process?
THP has within the past year:
- re-aligned the mission/vision statements to support clinical integration
- modified the governance structure to include an additional specialist physician Class I seat to the Board of Directors
- modified the THP bylaws to accommodate for clinical integration
- brought all medical management functions in-house
- created additional physician-directed governance committees
- submitted the request letter 7/9/2007 to the FTC for an advisory opinion to proceed with clinical integration
- submitted a new clinical integration participation contract 7/9/2007 to the FTC for approval
What administrative changes can I expect with clinical integration?
THP staff will work with you and your office staff to assist you with accessing and using the existing internet and web-based tools that will allow you to practice in a clinically integrated manner.
Offices not currently connected to the internet will need to connect to gain access to these tools. Offices currently not using any electronic equipment will need to install computer equipment with internet access to participate in clinical integration.
These web-based tools are the foundation of the THP clinical integration strategy; therefore, access to the internet is mandatory.
Who will pay for any necessary electronic equipment or connections I may need to participate in clinical integration?
THP will pay the cost of one internet connection up to $19.95/month. Physicians will need to purchase other equipment and connections.
What is the role of the Washington County Hospital?
Washington County Hospital, a 50% owner of THP, and its administration are wholly supportive of THP’s clinical integration initiative.
